ASBESTOS CEMENT
This is basically made from asbestos fibre and cement. This is used for making
a variety of products including flat and corrugated sheets, roof tiles, rain water
pipes etc. It has high alkali content with a rather variable surface texture which
tends to retain water for a long time.
Surface Preparation:
Do not allow dust because of danger of diffusing asbestos particles in the
atmosphere. Remove any surface contaminant and loosely adherent particles by
washing off with clean water. Allow to dry thoroughly.
