Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited: Breaking Gender Stereotypes
Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, one of the most technologically advanced paint manufacturers in the country, has been setting benchmarks since 1970. With a global legacy spanning over 250 years, Berger continues to lead through innovation, quality, and social responsibility.
Committed to excellence, Berger Paints has consistently catered to diverse customer needs while embracing its responsibility toward communities. Beyond delivering world-class paints, Berger focuses on ethical business practices, customer satisfaction, and driving meaningful social change.
The “Express Painting Service by Female” Initiative
For the first time in Bangladesh, Berger Paints launched the “Express Painting Service by Female”, breaking barriers in the traditionally male-dominated paint industry. This initiative empowers women by providing comprehensive training and employment opportunities, promoting gender equality and financial independence. The female painters’ team is trained at the Berger Training Institute in collaboration with the National Skill Development Authority (NSDA). Through their training, the painters acquire comprehensive knowledge of the painting process, master the act of surface preparation, and learn to use advanced painting tools.
Since its launch, the female painters’ team has served over 50 clients across the Dhaka metropolitan area, delivering projects on time with professionalism. Their work ensures comfortable painting experiences, particularly for households where there are no male members at home. Their presence also provides an enhanced sense of ease for families, particularly women and children, during home painting projects.
“Joining Berger’s Express Painting Service by Female has changed my life. Now, I have been able to contribute to my family, while pursuing further studies.”
— Urme Islam, Painter at Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited
